2019 was a groundbreaking year in Columbus’ smart city journey. Self-driving shuttles traveled 19,000 miles on Columbus city streets. Hundreds of electric vehicle charging stations were brought online. More than $9.5 million in federal funds were spent on smart city projects, resident engagement reached more than 100,000, and regional investments in smart city innovation grew to more than $730 million since 2016.
